How do you feel about caring for your “neighbor”? When you’ve fallen into hard times, there should be a helping hand reaching out to lift you up and get you back on your feet. That’s exactly what the Human Services Campus has been to many. Their mission is to end homelessness through collaboration with partners. The Arcadia Foundation, our nonprofit organization, aims to support them in our shared goal of community stewardship.

Social responsibility is of the utmost importance to every employee at Arcadia Solar. With everything going on in the world today, we want to make sure our neighbors are taken care of, no matter where they’re at in life. That’s why the Human Services Campus is one of the organizations we support. They work hard to connect individuals experiencing homelessness to permanent housing, as well as diverting as many people as they can from becoming homeless in the first place.

Trying to end homelessness on a large scale might feel impossible sometimes, but those at the Human Services Campus aren’t going to let that stop them. They care for each person not as just a part of the masses, but an individual with their own needs and dreams. When a person arrives at their campus, the services available to help ease their problems are plentiful. From the very beginning with the initial assessment, they help to create a plan tailored to each person.

From shelter, to mental health, to legal services, to post office services – even music wellness is provided for those who find themselves at the campus. The sincere consideration for the variety of aspects that can elevate someone into feeling like a person again is inspirational. So many who are unhoused and living on the streets or in their vehicles are treated as lesser or even invisible. Every person should be treated with dignity and respect, and the HSC strives to provide this. Building their foundation of self-esteem and arming them with the skills needed to advance to where they want to be are invaluable services.

Knowing the importance of supporting those who work toward the betterment of the community, The Arcadia Foundation set up a golf tournament to raise donations. Thanks to the generosity of the participants, we were able to present the Human Services Campus with a check for $10,000! You can donate your time or money if you would like to join us in funding resources for our neighbors experiencing homelessness. You can also attend The Arcadia Foundation’s golf tournament next year on April 1^st, 2023.
